The youth of our day encounter diverse and powerful challenges that are increasingly complex. They are inheriting from our generation a world that is much less friendly to a faith perspective on life. As we pray for the children, here are ways we can support the young within our sphere of influence:
• Bring a child or grandchild to church
• Volunteer to teach Sunday School
• Become a Reign Forest leader on Wednesday nights
• Make meals for Wednesday Reign Forest or Friday Moon
• Attend the parent information meeting Sunday, Sept 8th at 5PM
• Join Michelle Marx and Tristen Jensen to sit with children in the nursery
• Support one of the Mission projects of our Youth Group
• Say thank you to a youth worker
• Smile at a child
• Pray for families
• Invite a neighbor family with children to worship
In these ways, and many more, we show we care about the next generation

Aloha!
Palisades Church had a lovely Aloha-good-bye to summer, and an Aloha-hello to the fall with a Luau Sunday.
We had such a wonderful reception for many new members, enjoyed great food and experienced lovely Hawaiian hula. What a fabulous Palisades tradition!
Thanks to all who made the day so special. The Great Hawaiian Hula with Geri Holm and her granddaughter Charlene was fabulous.

Taking Jesus With Us
The children are now back to school and a cut-out picture of Jesus accompanies many of them as they go about their fall activities.
“Flat Jesus,” is what our pastoral assistant for family ministries calls the little cut-out. Denise Winsett has been sharing Flat Jesus with many adults as well, and we have been taking Jesus with us to many places ourselves.
